Welcome

This is Neurodivergent Fitness, the fitness community by and for neurodivergent folk (ADHD, autism etc). We aim to help these people through their fitness journeys in areas where mainstream techniques/advice aren’t applicable.

Neurodiversity doesn’t just effect the mind. Sensory issues regarding food and IBS can make nutrition challenging, executive function and focus issues can make consistency difficult, social/communication differences can make group/team exercise a poor fit and dyspraxia will make learning certain techniques harder just to name a few challenges. We also have many strengths. Many of us can hyperfocus, have extreme attention to detail and/or the ability to retain vast quantities of information and think about things with a unique perspective.

Neurodivergent Fitness aims to help people overcome/work around their challenges, draw on their strengths and find what works for them and grow a community that helps each other. Check out our Bluesky or join our discord group at the link in the sidebar.
